UNDER GRADUATE COURSES

·         B.Tech. - Mechanical Engineering (ME)

B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is a 4 year degree programme. The department has experienced faculty members drawn from industry, academicians and practicing professionals to deliver excellent academic programs to the students.  Through workshops, assignments, lab sessions, seminars, training, projects and independent study students are trained to face the challenges in mechanical engineering industry.

Duration: 4 years

Eligibility: Candidates must have secured at least 50% aggregate in PCM 12^th Standard or equivalent examination,  recognized by State or Central Education Board. Candidates must have chosen five subjects and studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects in 12^th Standard.

POST GRADUATE COURSES

·         M.Tech. - Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering

M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering/Production Engineering is a post graduation course which deals with the study of mechanics, Kinematics, Statics, Material Science, Thermodynamics used in construction, development and installation of tools and machines. Mechanical/Production Engineers are concerned with planning, designing, maintaining and controlling all the activities for the production of the products in the organization. The main purpose of the Mechanical/Production Engineers is to increase the productivity of the products by and maintain its optimum quality by adopting integrated design and efficient planning.

Duration: 
Full Time - 2 years/Part Time - 3 years

Eligibility: 
Candidates must have completed Bachelor’s B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Automobile Engineering / Aeronautical Engineering with 50% marks in aggregate.

DOCTORATE

·         Ph.D. - Mechanical Engineering (ME)

Duration: Minimum duration for Ph.D. is 3 years including course work and maximum of 6 years (full time / part time).

Eligibility: Candidates must have completed Post graduation in the relevant discipline from a UGC recognized University with 50% marks in aggregate. However the candidate with M.Phil/NET/SLET /CSIR-UGC/JRF cleared in the relevant subject is exempted from Entrance test.

Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE)

The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering department has a very valuable heritage of teaching and research and is considered to be superior in Electrical Engineering education in India.

Duration: Full Time - 2 years/Part Time - 3 years

Eligibility: Candidates must have completed Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology or an equivalent degree in an appropriate area or M.Sc (Computer Science/Information Technology) or MCA  with 50% marks in aggregate.

B.Tech. in Bioinformatics

B.Tech. in Bioinformatics is a 4 year full time degree course.   It is an interdisciplinary field that combines Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics and Engineering to analyze and understand Biological Data. Bioinformatics use mathematical and statistical techniques for in silico analyses of biological queries.

Bioinformatics is the study of biological gene disease used in the fields of genetics and genomic as a specific analysis pipeline. Human Genome Project can be considered as the best examples of Bioinformatics. The field of bioinformatics is experiencing an explosive growth by the Human Genome Project and by rapid advances in DNA sequencing technology. With the completion of sequencing of human genome and  various plants, animals and microbes’ genomes, bioinformatics is taking up the challenges of the post-genomic era.   Bioinformatics is a fast growing era in life sciences.
